Providing Info to Vietnam Veterans

Posted Tuesday August 08, 2017 by AAAOutreach

New Orleans, LA (August 8, 2017) – AAAneurysm Outreach is connecting with Vietnam veterans this week at their annual convention in New Orleans. The Vietnam Veterans of America organization promotes and supports the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans, to create a new identity for this generation of veterans, and to change public perception of Vietnam veterans.

AAAneurysm Outreach will be exhibiting in the Veterans Mall Aug. 8-12, providing information about abdominal aortic aneurysms, and urging those at risk to talk to their doctors about an ultrasound screening. Risk factors include age 55 and over, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hardening of the arteries, history of smoking, or family history of aneurysms.

The third-leading cause of sudden death in men over 60 in the US, an abdominal aortic aneurysm (bursting of the main artery that carries blood to the lower part of the body) is fatal within minutes, and there are no symptoms.
